Change of events…. / Quitting Facebook - Part 2

1) Narrowing down the search for a new place
2) Turn of events over the past few weeks slimmed my “list” from 6 to 1
3) Turn of events over the past 24 hours changed my “list” from the one and only 1 to someone totally new.
4)  I can’t wait till my days off on 9/21-9/23 (into the weekend).
5) Deactivating my FB account 5 days ago definitely puts life and time in perspective which leads to the reasons why I decided to deactivate my account. I came across a few blogs:

One big commonality is summed up in one word: narcissim

We get caught up in other people’s lives and the next you know it. The plan on skimming through FB updates for 5 minutes ended up being 30+ minutes or whatever time longer than planned.

Or we post an update in hopes for a few likes or comments knowing your post has some kind of significance or importance to others. The association gives you more purpose or meaning to life of others.

We tend to get more overly depressed over ourselves because others appear to go out more often than you. He/she posts dreary updates that adamantly affects your mood when you really didn’t think much of it until you thought about it more.

I just think time could be spent better elsewhere perhaps investment in potential soul mates, hobbies you put aside, or quality time with family and friends. There are days where I feel we lose our sense of inter-personal communication skills. During lunch with a group of co-workers, you see everyone on their phones and not making a peep or sound because everyone are tuned in with their phone which there is a lost of normal conversations about randomness of things in life.

With that said, life isn’t over when there’s no Facebook. Also, I might as well before November 5th when chaos breaks loose when the Anonymous hacker group takes over Facebook. If you follow them, I value and look up to their efforts. LOL….
